Homeground NZ was established in late summer of 2016. Amie Redpath was previously involved in various roles aboard super yachts and in private luxury accommodation for some high- end clientele and property owners. With a strong love of nature, art and design, the first mortar and pestle was crafted in 2009.
At the request and suggestion by family and friends, Homeground NZ was born.
Amie works primarily with stone, keeping her pieces authentic, sustainable and Eco-driven. She believes in longevity of a piece: high quality in terms of workmanship, detail, stone hardness and beauty, lasting simple designs to be treasured over generations.
Homeground NZ is focused on domestic objects, particularly Tableware, and other useful products. Recently, Amie has begun designing and producing a series of sculptural pieces, drawing inspiration from the Neolithic Period, to more modern and abstract designs.
Homeground NZ has been featured in the Cuisine Magazine, New Zealand's foremost gastronomic magazine favoured by chefs and foodies alike.
She has commissioned pieces for numerous top restaurants and vineyards around New Zealand, such as Roots Restaurant, Lyttleton; Clooney, Auckland; Craggy Range Vineyard, Hawkes Bay.
Commissions are welcome.
